A walk in the Quantocks can offer a surprising variety of secenery in such a small area. From farmland to shady combes and the open heathland of the ridge. Within 3hrs all of these aspects can be explored on foot, whilst there is still plenty of scope for more wide-ranging, day long tours.
For linear walks you may need to use public transport. Plan your journey online for all types of public transport with Traveline. For buses only the "Timetable Booklet for the Taunton & West Somerset Area" can be ordered by e-mail from transport@somerset.gov.uk , the Somerset County Council transport department.
