Puplit at St Andrew's

Interior St Andrew's

To left of puplit is a statue of St Andrew, holding his cross.

Tradition has it that, on being martyred, St Andrew was crucified on an X shaped cross. St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, whose flag is a white cross on a blue background. This flag forms part of the Union flag of Britain. St Andrew's day is celebrated by Scots on 30th November.
